Protevera™ Digital Protein Detection Platform

Digital Protein Detection at Single-Molecule Resolution

Overview

Protevera™ is a next-generation digital protein detection platform that enables ultra-sensitive, near-single-molecule detection and absolute-like quantification of protein biomarkers.

Built on a proprietary proximity-based molecular amplification chemistry, Protevera™ transforms protein detection into a digital counting problem, delivering performance comparable to — and, in key aspects, surpassing — existing ultra-sensitive platforms.

How It Works

dpdp-1

Protevera™ utilizes a binding-induced nucleic acid amplification strategy:

  1. Target proteins are captured by paired proximity probes

  2. Binding events trigger oligonucleotide extension reactions

  3. Signal molecules are amplified and partitioned

  4. Digital readout is performed using dPCR systems

This converts protein detection into high-precision digital quantification.

Key Advantages

  • Ultrasensitive Detection

Detection limits below 10 fg/mL (attomolar range)

  • Near Single Molecule Resolution

True digital detection of low-abundance biomarkers

  • Wash-Free Workflow

    Simplified operation, minimal hands-on time

  • Ultra-Low Sample Input

Requires only 1–5 μL sample volume

  • High Compatibility

Runs on standard digital PCR instruments

  • Cost-Effective Alternative

Significantly lower cost compared to bead-based single-molecule systems

  • Rapid Customization

New targets can be developed within hours to days

Performance

Super sensitivity and specificity

dpdp-2

Steady detection of trace biomarkers in the blood.

dpdp-3

Performance:

  • LOD down to ~0.1 fM (fg/mL level) for cytokines and NFL

  • Comparable performance in single-plex and multiplex formats

  • High specificity with minimal cross-reactivity

  • Strong clinical discrimination performance (e.g., pTau217 AUC ~0.95)

Multiplex Without Trade-Offs

Protevera™ enables true multiplex protein detection:

  • Maintain sensitivity across multiple targets

  • Minimal signal interference

  • Suitable for panel-based biomarker profiling

Applications

  • Neurology

    Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers (pTau217, NFL)

  • Oncology

Circulating protein biomarkers, minimal residual disease monitoring

  • Immunology

    Cytokines (IL-6, IFN-γ, TNF-α) and immune profiling

  • Infectious Disease

    Low-abundance pathogen-associated proteins
